Mr Ola had multiple delivery zones, Agege, Ogba,Berger and Ikeja,he had show glasses displayed he pays the market authority for the space he uses and employs a sales person there which he pays on a monthly basis,he counts the products delivered to ensure accounts are balance and no loss occurs,follow carefully,he does the mixing of flour and other ingredients by the close of each work day and after they have "doughed",he starts baking,three staffs at home along with him and four sales person at each market location,he was able to pay seven staffs from producing baked products.This is just a simple story.

The first step to take in catering business is never to pre-determine you have the knowledge but seek for the knowledge in this business.Try to enroll in catering institute or work for a caterer over an agreed period of time,make sure during the time of training you play front roles actively to gain enough needed experience to run yours - remember that is the target of this learning process.Play very active roles and work in planning in the system you have committed to learn,depending on your trainer the scale of production you aim at,from six months to two years is enough to gather the experience to produce quality baked foods and manage the financial aspects of the business altogether.

START SMALL :

After gaining the knowledge in catering ensure you start small,don't wait for 1 Million Naira before starting up,during your training period try to buy small equipment one by one so it won't choke you to buy them all at once when you're ready to start,utensils are ky,deep fryer,show glasses depending on the amount of centers you wish to set up,coolers just keep saving and as you save buy these items one after the other.

LOOK FOR POPULATED AREAS :

Just as the experience shared above,you don't need to sit down at the venue of sales,employ a sales person and start small.Aim to produce and sell snacks worth enough to cover expenses like transportation,staff salaries and raw materials used.Keep information to keep track of your productivity,in-flows and out-flows of the business - it is critical so you will learn how to plan the exact amount of foods to produce daily. TAKE STOCK : Monitor your daily deliveries and the quantities returned,you can effectively plan the exact amount to bake the next day. VARIETIES :

To increase sales plan towards varieties,the more the varieties the better it is for the business. To the venture capitalist,you do not need to work under anyone to gain the experience,if you have the funds to set aside,you can employ a head caterer to setup this structure, assistant caterers and sales person at the market to do the sales,monitor the production,purchase of raw materials and revenues generated daily and you will be turning idle funds into a productive stream of continuous daily revenue.
